Volunteer at Merthyr Pride!

Thanks for your interest in volunteering at this year’s Merthyr Pride! Without your support, Pride simply wouldn’t happen.

Merthyr Pride is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and promotes inclusion, equality and diversity. With a parade through the town centre and a full day of entertainment, we’re looking for friendly and helpful volunteers to make sure everyone has an amazing time.

We’ll need help with various roles, from setting up early in the morning to stewarding at the parade and keeping the site tidy throughout the day, but you’ll get to enjoy some of the entertainment and atmosphere too!

Preferred roles – these will be rotated so please choose more than one. We’ll try to accommodate your choices but can’t guarantee this.






Volunteers need to attend a training session to prepare for the event, plus it’s a good chance for us all to get together before the big day! The training will be at 6pm, Thursday 6 August in Merthyr. It will last around an hour and refreshments will be provided.
