To organise and carry out our Merthyr Pride event, and any other events we facilitate throughout the year, we will need to store your data. This will involve storing your contact details and information about you/your business. The data we gather and store will only be that which is necessary for us to work with you effectively and safely.

We will only use your data for the express purpose that we have highlighted. Your contact details will be used to communicate with you about our main Merthyr Pride event. However, we may also contact you about other events or opportunities we have that you may be interested in engaging with. Information about you/your business will be used to establish whether we will engage your services for our main Merthyr Pride event, or any others we facilitate. This data will be used to draw up contracts, communicate with you, set up payment arrangements, understand your relevant policies, and any other needs in relation to the safe running of our Merthyr Pride events that you are a part of.

By providing your data you are consenting to us storing your data. However, where we ask for special category data, we will ask you to provide explicit consent. If you decide you no longer wish for us to store your data, you can request we delete the data. If you decide there are parts of our Merthyr Pride work that you do not wish to be involved in, such as communication about separate Merthyr Pride events or sponsorship opportunities, you can opt out of this communication. To opt-out please email hello@merthyrpride.com and explain what you wish to opt-out of. This will be noted and responded to.

All data will be securely deleted from our records after 3 years. This is to ensure we only keep up-to-date records of your information but to also allow us to communicate with you about our current and future Merthyr Pride events over the 3-year period. We will contact you at this time to ask if you would like us to update your details and continue to communicate with you. If you wish for your data to be deleted before this date, please email hello@merthyrpride.com and inform us what information you would like deleted. This could be all or some of your data. This will be noted and responded to.
